The Havahart Fence Free Extra Collar Receiver works only with the Havahart Fence Free Underground Containment System. The water-resistant collar receiver contains six levels of correction- Tone Only or 5 Static Corrections with Tone. You can set this level of correction to suit your dog. Additionally, if you use the Fence Free system to contain multiple dogs, each collar can be set to a unique correction level. Safety Precautions Run-Through Protection: When the dog reaches the edge of the boundary or signal field, he/she will hear a warning tone that lasts as long as the dog remains in the warning zone. If the dog moves away, the tone shuts off. If the dog continues toward the boundary, an initial low-level static stimulus occurs. If the dog still continues toward the boundary the set level of correction will be administered. Over Correction Protection: If your dog becomes "trapped" in the signal field, this feature limits stimulation. After 10 seconds static stimulation is stopped and the collar will not accept any additional signal from the fence for 30 seconds. To protect your dog, please observe the following safety precautions: Never leave the collar on your dog for more than 12 hours at one time. Pressure Necrosis, which can severely irritate a dogs skin, is caused by extended pressure of the probes on skin, along with oil/dirt that accumulates on the probes. Check daily for skin irritation. Only use the Fence Free System on healthy dogs, ages 6 months and older. Consult your veterinarian before using if your dog has health problems. Check collar fit each time you place collar on your dog– the collar must be fitted properly to work effectively. If the collar probes are not making complete contact with the dogs skin, the fence will not work to its full effectiveness. Always use the lowest stimulation possible to train your dog.
